For each HLQ, use ISPF 3.4 and select INITIAL VIEW 1 (Volume). 

Look for entries with no volume serial listed. 

In most cases, a simple D line command will do a DELETE NOSCR. 

I know, kind of tedious with a bunch of HLQ's, but you should only have to do 
this once.
