It is application whose authors are exceptionally devoted to obfuscation or even plain stupidity that tests for APF'ness, as you call it, by using facilities other than IBM's TESTAUTH. The mind boggles at the notion of an app looking at the dataset name from which it was fetched, and basing even a secondary auth test on that.
