Look at the DEBUG directive and the invocation options controlling traces. For example: EXEC PGM=FTP,PARM='-v -d (EXIT'
That should produce a trace detailed enough to see what (if any) level of security resulted from the handshake. If not, then explore the DEBUG directive. It might be a good idea to leave the traces active in batch. Helps diagnosing when something goes wrong later on. OBTW: many of us get confused when terms such as 'secure FTP' can have different meanings. Worse, SFTP isn't FTP at all, so my suggestion above would not be applicable. HTH and good luck. -----Original Message----- From: IBM Mainframe Discussion List [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Lizette Koehler Sent: Tuesday, June 14, 2011 9:28 AM To: [email protected] Subject: How to verify if Secured FTP is being used I am trying to verify if an FTP process is actually using secured FTP (SFTP). Or when FTP is used (i.e. PGM=FTP) that the secured FTP process is being used. Is there an easy way to do this? What SMF Records would help me with this analysis?
