I don't like to fight either. I'm very good at simply ignoring people who are more hot air than light. It is difficult to do this, I admit. But my email client can autodelete messages from them, if they become too obnoxious.
It is terrible of me to say, but I'm so egotistical that the opinions of some people just doesn't matter to me. "Who are __they__ that I should care what they say?" What if they are too pushy and spread lies? Well, that's what lawyers and restraining orders are for. Or appealing to Darren to set them NOPOST. Nothing like taking away their platform to gain relief. Of course, this "controversy" is nowhere near that level (IMO).
