The 2250 was definitely a big attached-processor graphics display station. Mr. Gilmore should remember it well.
The 2260 was a pretty dumb terminal. I wrote a system pre-CICS that supported the 2260. I wrote the low level screen formatting. I don't recall its being supported as a console either. The first glass console I remember was a 327x. Ah, the 1052 ... EOB and Cancel. Who designs a system where Return does not mean Enter - where the most common key used is an obscure function key? Why is this list better at nostalgia than anything else? The 2250 was a huge, expensive device, that almost certainly was not used as a console. But then I don't recall using 2260s as consoles, either. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For IBM-MAIN subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the message: GET IBM-MAIN INFO Search the archives at http://bama.ua.edu/archives/ibm-main.html
