I saw if a couple of years ago. In our case, HOD had fallen into the default OMVS service class (the sysprog changed the name and didn't tell me). This was multiple periods, and response became very erratic, and (sometimes) the server connection would disappear. I put it into an 'ONLINE' service class and the problem went away. -teD Me?
