Any reference to other possible products in this context may be more
rhetoric than reality. Like saying 'any product like JES or VTAM'.
Theoretically possible, I suppose, but on what planet?

The major omission from this list is HSM, one of the earliest exploiters of
RLS. Using RLS for the HSM CDS allows space management housekeeping to run
concurrently on any number of sysplex members, greatly reducing the elapsed
time of disruptive processes while maintaining full data integrity of the
control data set. I have no idea whether any HSM-like products from ISVs
are capable of using RLS.
