pardon the language, sir, but did u know that the jcl keyword UNIT=[/]nnnnn would create an internal text specification that would require internal testing of either 3 4 OR now 5 characther length, this would be simliar to the-svc 99- checking of the length field as well, since u can't see beyond your very large nose, why do u need to use profanity to make your point, when in fact u have no point to make. beyond the JCL, you need to also add the confusion involved in the DEVICES Saf class where the resource name is now 5 digits as well, meaning that the mask condition is also affected, much like the 3/4 transition is akin to the 4/5 transition . see sample in manual that refers to A20* mask which could be A200- A20F , or just A20 (as in 0A20). NOW expand that to 5 digits to cover the new ranges , and see if you have NO problems at all. It's funny how the people who think they know a lot, know very little AT ALL. Perhaps u have a GK (goishe kopt)? hmm?
