If this USERMOD is intended to reassemble a new version of IRXANCHR and replace the IRXANCHR MOD and relink the corresponding LMOD, then the name of the SRC member had better be IRXANCHR. It looks like you have instead used the USERMOD name for the SRC member -- i.e., SRC(ZZ00002)-- which tells SMP/E to try to generate a corresponding ZZ00002 module and ZZ00002 LMOD. No doubt the zone has no corresponding MOD or LMOD entries for ZZ00002, so SMP/E has no idea how to do it - hence the error message.

SET BDY(TARG1).
GIM20501I SET PROCESSING IS COMPLETE. THE HIGHEST RETURN CODE WAS
00.

APPLY S(ZZ00002) BYPASS(ID) CHECK REDO.

GIM44402W ZZ00002 WAS NOT ASSEMBLED FOR SRC ZZ00002 IN SYSMOD
ZZ00002 BECAUSE THERE IS NO MOD ENTRY FOR ZZ00002.
SMP/E CANNOT DETERMINE THE TARGET LIBRARY FOR THE
ASSEMBLER OUTPUT.

I get a 4 for the apply check. The message text says there's no target
library indicated but this was the same stuff used to install z/OS in
the first place, so I know the assembler works. What mod entry is it
referring to?

We're going from OS/390 2.9 to z/OS 1.4. This was SMP/E 32.15. Anyone
have any ideas?
