The programs do not use the IBM COBOL options such as SYMDUMP, TRACE, FLOW, etc. These programs are very old and have just re-surfaced. I thought it might be for some external produce to set a trap many, many, many years ago.

I've used all of them and none of them require a CALL to ILBOSPI0. That is so old, I will almost bet it is for some old things such as TSO TEST to trap S0C7's and the like instead of the COBOL run-time. Again, are any parameters being used in the CALL? The module itself is quite small. -- John McKown Senior Systems Programmer UICI Insurance Center Information Technology ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For IBM-MAIN subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the message: GET IBM-MAIN INFO Search the archives at http://bama.ua.edu/archives/ibm-main.html
