Greetings,

I've noticed that RMF CPU reports favour showing LPAR utilization over MVS
utilization.

Let me give some examples. Also, I'm only considering LPAR mode on a z990.

1. SUMMARY(INT) summary report shows MVS %

2. REPORTS(CPU) is comprised of 3 parts (relevant here).
    a. shows MVS% and LPAR% for each active processor
    b. shows detailed CPC information. The detailed CPC information
contains total LPAR% and physical CPU%
    c. LPAR cluster report showing LPAR%

3. PLOTS(CPU) plots LPAR% for each processor

There are other reports that include the CPU in the header, but I'll just
ignore those here.

I realise that all 3 CPU measurements are important, but it seems to me
that LPAR% is being portrayed as the important value to be keeping an eye
on.

Another example. When I look at RMF monitor 3 Workflow/exceptions, the CPU%
indicated is the LPAR%, not the MVS% utilization. SYSINFO shows me the
MVS%. CPC capacity only shows LPAR% and physical%.

What do you people think? I am being too picky? I expected PLOTS(CPU) to be
MVS% but was suprised to find it was LPAR%.

Thanks

John
