We have STK devices. But I still worry about proper blocking of files and try to impart that knowledge to my users when I can because it will still effect virtual space. An example... FBA 133 BLKSIZE=133 574 CYLs used FBA 133 BLKSIZE=1330 148 CYLs used FBA 133 BLKSIZE=13300 104 CYLs used FBA 133 BLKSIZE=0(27930) 99 CYLs used So while each of these files used the same amount of physical space, they certainly used different amounts of virtual space. So far, I have had to manage to my virtual volume limit before I have to manage to my physical space limit. Just a function of device limits and how I have it set up.
