If You don't want to support the code then don't.
Are You too afraid to say that to the whiners ? ;-)
I have always seen source hiding in circumstances like this as silly and sneaky.
I never do this.

I've had a similar problem with listings. I tend to print them in the
densest font available because I don't like bulky listing. People have
borrowed my personal listings and then complained that they are too
hard to read. I consider that to be more than a bit arrogant, just as
I consider thus expecting you to support the code they borrowed to be
arrogant.
