Some people complained about this years ago on some public forum. (Maybe IBM-Main.) I suspect they had a SYSMDUMP with DISP=MOD. There's no reason to expect IPCS to handle the resulting dataset contining multiple dumps with embedded short blocks between them so these people didn't get much sympathy.
