I have verified that we have StorageTek 9840 drives.
Good. Just to be clear, since there were some confusing answers, the
9840s use a unique Storage Tek cartridge and cannot read/write any other
type of cartridge.
Just to confuse things, the 9840s can be set to emulate 3490s or
3590s. This is strictly a software emulation, in the way that they
present themselves to the host. It does NOT imply that they can
read/write 3490 or 3590 cartridges.
