Hello Russel,
Thanks for quick response.
The volume that caused IEC507D issued is indeed CA1 managed, see below:

00.05.00 S0065485 ---- MONDAY, 03 APR 2006 ----
00.31.59 S0065485 IECTMS9 A844,860268,HSMBT ,SYS17000,PERMANENT
,0001,.HMIGTA
00.31.59 S0065485 *IEC507D E A844,860268,HSMBT,HSMBT,.HMIGTAPE.DATASET
00.31.59 S0065485 *897 IEC507D REPLY 'U'-USE OR 'M'-UNLOAD

When checking bt12 hsmbt joblogCfound the volume 860268 is expired and is
recycled:
3:14:43 06/03/31 ARC0365I MIGRATION VOLUME 860268 NOW AVAILABLE FOR
RECYCLE

00.30.01 S0065664 ARC0832I RECYCLE STARTING ON VOLUME 860268 AT 00:30:01
015
   015 ARC0832I (CONT.) ON 2006/04/01 SYSTEM BT12

Also checked tmsclean joblog, and found it is in scratch status, so
StorageTek's hsc software will change it as scratch:
tmsclean 4/1/2006
SLS2321I VOLUME 860268 SUCCESSFULLY ADDED TO VSM AS SCRATCH

By the way: from your previous email, it seems there is no parameters to
control the behaviour if the volume is CA1 controlled, right?
I'll double check other volumes as well.

Regards
Victor
