I already did it, using method 1.
However - what is strange for me - I had to do two separate confirmation steps:
CV volser CRLSE(ERASE)
then
CV volser CRLSE(INIT)
then
housekeeping
then
DV volser REMOVE.

I tried CV volser CRLSE(ERASE,INIT), but it didn't confirm INIT.

BTW: I agree - ERASE and INIT seems to be redundant.

Radoslaw, There are multiple ways to do what you want. The simplest way is to use DV volser FORCE; consider FORCE rather than as a hammer, but as 'PLEASEIMEANIT'. Using FORCE now requires extra authority.

Strange you have both INIT and ERASE actions set.....

Other ways to get rid of the volumes;
1. Confirm the erase action, confirm the init action, run exproc, finally DV with REMOVE 2. reclaim from pening release and then release again .... RMM CV volser RETPD(1) RELEASE(REPLACE) INIT(N); RMM DV with RELEASE; RMM DV with REPLACE (a recent addition to the DV command)
