Radoslaw, There are multiple ways to do what you want. The simplest way is to use DV volser FORCE; consider FORCE rather than as a hammer, but as 'PLEASEIMEANIT'. Using FORCE now requires extra authority.
Strange you have both INIT and ERASE actions set..... Other ways to get rid of the volumes; 1. Confirm the erase action, confirm the init action, run exproc, finally DV with REMOVE 2. reclaim from pening release and then release again .... RMM CV volser RETPD(1) RELEASE(REPLACE) INIT(N); RMM DV with RELEASE; RMM DV with REPLACE (a recent addition to the DV command) Mike Wood RMM Development On Tue, 11 Apr 2006 18:37:36 +0200, R.S. <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: >The following scenario: >Some tape volumes are in status PENDING RELEASE. >All of the volumes are SHELF volumes (exist outside library). >All of them have the same owner. >All of them have release actions: > >Return to SCRATCH pool . : YES >Initialize volume . . . : YES >Erase volume . . . . . . : YES >(other entires has value of NO) > >I have a list of the volsers. > > >I want to remove those tapes from RMM. > >I tried several RMM commands, no effect. >I didn't try RMM DV xxxxx FORCE. >Q: Is there any other (less brutal) method ? >RMM CV CRLSE followed by housekeeping, then RMM DV xxxx REMOVE ? > >-- >Radoslaw Skorupka >Lodz, Poland ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For IBM-MAIN subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the message: GET IBM-MAIN INFO Search the archives at http://bama.ua.edu/archives/ibm-main.html
