There are three Redbooks that describe how to deal with Ethernet and TR
cards in the MP3000. They are:
* S/390 Partners in Development: OS/390 (and z/OS) New Users Cookbook
(SG24-6204-00)
* Multiprise 3000 Basic Emulated I/O Definitions (SG24-5669-00)
* Multiprise 3000 Technical Introduction (SG24-5633-00)
Between these three books, you can figure out how to configure your TR card.
One thing about the TR card: If you have any Ethernet cards, they must be
configured first in the slots with the TR cards last. There is also a max
of four cards that can be configured. If you use the internal loopback
interface, that counts as one "card".
I have the loopback and three Ethernet cards configured in my MP3K which has
4 LPARs in a Parallel Sysplex. The Ethernet cards do the VTAM and TCP/IP
work across the three z/OS systems. Contact me offline if I can be of help.

Subject: MP3000 Help with TOKEN RING Adapter
Hi MP3000 Gurus,
I need some help how to migrate from an OSA-2 using Token-Ring adapter from
an IBM 9672-RB5 to a MP3000 H50 with TKR card.
Today I use XCA VTAM book to "see" OSA TKR. I was checking MP3000 manual and
found no useful information about how to configure EMIO and MPTS definitions
to reflect adapter to VM, VSE and OS390 systems.
Thanks for help and if possible, please contact me off list.
