I asked the question because many times users come on this website with questions and DON'T explain WHY they need to do it. Generally there are simpler solutions, and if they don't know about them they may be trying a complex solution. One of the advantages of this website is that people can get simpler solutions. It's much better when people EXPLAIN WHY they want to do something - we got an explanation about HSM and FDR from the submitter. Of course I still don't understand the process he's explaining - if it's backed up by HSM or FDR he can still recover it, regardless.
