How do you proceed for electrical modification or maintenance without UPS ? 
How much is the insurance premium without UPS in your country ?
( in mine we don't even get an insurance without UPS )
We are even being obliged to use STS (source transfer system) on mono power
equipement (some routers and the like ) 
Today we use 2 different power sources , each protected by UPS and we have
STS in between .
And it saves our butts once a year .
