Hi List - I was wondering if anyone out there can point me to a z/OS
Highlights reference of some sort.

What I am looking for is something that I can use for a sample in giving a
presentation on all of z/OS' capabilities these days.

We have recently developed a Technology Committee here in which I am the
mainframe representative. We have quarterly meetings with presenations
from the different groups. It became quite apparent to me when we recently
developed a Technology Blueprint and there wasn't any reference to the
mainframe.

I would like to present to my group all of the bells and whistles that now
come with z/OS. It is clear that they believe that the mainframe is just a
left behind technology being that they do not interface with it that often.

For examples, I would like to find information on supported
protocols/languages/standards of z/OS components like:

Communications:
VIPA
SMTP
DNS

Security:
SSL
LDAP

UNIX System Services - POSIX support

Websphere - Supported languages (I see that Perl is now a supported
language)

They will probably blow a gasket when they find out that the mainframe can
not only have a webpage but is also useful in eCommerce and the like.

Thanks to all who can respond.

Regards,
Patrick Lyon
