From: IBM Mainframe Discussion List On Behalf Of Steve Comstock

We are looking to create some more international data, with company and people names in Japanese, Chinese, and European languages as well as English. We like to use names that are a little silly or surprising or nonsense-ical, just to make it a little more interesting.

For example, in our pretend inventory file we include:
 Fiberglass Cup
 Concrete Pillows
 Hydraulic Television

Prop Wash (comes in 5-gallon buckets)
Jet Blast (aerosol cans)
Flight Line (similar to fishing line, only thicker)
Glidepath Sweeper (aka powered broom)

In our made up list of customers we find these companies:
 Phoney Balones and Other Stuff
 Funny Bones
 Random Cats

Dewey, Cheatham & Howe (Law Firm)

And for the names of people who work at these companies:
 Sebastian Thornapple
 Theopholus Whifflepoof
 Timothy Pineapple

Joe Btygdkfjgh (find an old L'il Abner comic strip for correct spelling;
it's the guy with the black cloud ever-present)

Thanks, John, I like the suggestions. But I already
have sufficient English language entries; I really
want to be more international.

Kind regards,

-Steve Comstock
