Unless you want to run an edit program against the dump then I don't see
how you could possibly avoid the vendor seeing the secure data. Our
E-Mail system will automatically encrypt any mail that contains 9 digit
numbers, maybe some hot shot develpoer could write an interface to ftp
to remove or alter any 9 digit number or other specified data in a dump?

Secure transportation of the dump is not the issue. His issue is with
confidential data in the dump being viewed by the support team trying to
solve his problem.

Having looked at more than my share of customer dump, I'm interested to
hear some of the responses.
