Thanks to all who replied. I tried Jon's suggestion it worked. I also tried the
"UNNUM" but I received the message :Not in Number mode.
If you are not in num mode, you can issue this sequence of commands:
num on std
unnum
num off
For the future, Do I have to keep doing the NUM OFF command? Is there a way
of putting it in my ispf profile?
Just by issuing the command, it sets the NUM attribute off in your
profile. NUM is a profile attribute.
But remember, you can have up to 25 profiles; generally, the low
level qualifier of your data set name is used as your profile name.
So if you enter NUM OFF while editing a member in <your_id>.DEVEL.JCL
then every member in envery data set with a low level qualifier of JCL
will have NUM OFF every time you edit it (unless you explicitly specify
a different profile name on entry).
Oh, by the way, if you don't logoff in an orderly fashion (in other
words, if you let your TSO session just time out), the new profile
attribute will not be remembered across sessions.
Kind regards,

You can delete them in your JCL file.
On the command line enter 'NUM OFF'.
Then enter "c p'=' ' ' all 72 80"
This will delete your sequence numbers.

Subject: SEQUENCE NUMBERS
I noticed that when I perform a FTP function from Mainframe (I am using
FTP to retrieve jcls) to my pc I notice that sequence numbers appear on
the file.
How can I prevent these annoying sequence numbers from appearing on
the output?
Thanks
