I can not find a LISTSERV or anything useful(like the Dino Ring) on this
subject. Can anyone point me to such or .
More than you probably want to know on my current project.
We have a problem tracking system under CICS.
Mainframe problems usually involve a JOB name and or TSO USERID.
I have a script that, when I hit a hot key combo (CTRL-J) it:
1) Checks for selected text and if found copies to clipboard,
2) If not searches the screen for a couple of constants (JOBNAME/USERID)
and copies susequent data field to clipboard - quit if not found,
3) Checks to see if there is a Session up with the Name (Title Bar) TSO,
if not quit,
4) If already in ISPF it tries to see if SDSF is already in a screen (SWAP
LIST) and a screen search. if not tries to SPLIT NEW ........ and ST.
Works pretty well - not bullet resistant yet but as things come up I fix.
I would like to add
3b) Start TSO Reflection Session... log on (Forms for LPAR/USERID/PASWORD)
etc.
This ALMOST works but has an irritating glitch. The new Session Window comes
up but the FORMS are BEHIND it. They seem attached to the CICS Session
Window. If I can cure this I might even think about sharing with my
co-workers in the support area.
Surely some of you are in shops doing this kind of thing.
