We're running z/OS 1.6 now but were on z/OS 1.4 last year at this time. (Yes, that's 20+, not just 2+.) 2084 processor. Big central storage lets the CPU run at speed more often and there are no ISVs penalizing you for big central (to date). They gouge for big CPU but don't charge for memory size.
