Hmmm.... If I were not so engrossed in deciding how best to attack this
problem, I might have furnished the following information without
requiring the asking of "dumb questions". So:

The "dual z9" environment, at this instant in history, is our "new
datacenter" on which we have started the test/migration clock by
restoring a D/R image of our current "production" sysplex. The current
"production" sysplex is running on a pair of Amdahl Millennium boxes (a
700 series and a 2000 series). The ISV application runs correctly in
all three CICSes on both Amdahls. The D/R image was taken at a
sysplex-wide logical syncpoint, when ALL processing was stopped for the
duration of the full-volume backups. Everything was restored at the z9
datacenter except the IOCDS, page datasets and the couple and CFRM
datasets.

Except as just noted, ALL of the software is identical across both
sysplex images. The only "known" changes are the hardware, ALL of which
is new in the "dual-z9" datacenter, and the IP addresses and hostnames
of the z9s. The CICSes having the "wild branch" episodes on the z9s are
totally unaware of TCP/IP (indeed, those CICSes do no external
communication at all, other than "green-screen" terminal interactions).
