At one point I was under the impression that this only came into effect if you were sharing spool space or other datasets between LPARs. In a simple configuration like ours (3 LPARs, no sharing of anything except the hardware), what specifically would be the implications of migrating directly from 1.4 to 1.8?
Rex Hi All, We are currently running Z/OS 1.4 on all our lpars. We now want to upgrade to a newer release of the operating system. Z/OS 1.8 will be available at the end of this month. Are there any issues with going straight from Z/OS 1.4 to Z/OS 1.8. ???
