I remember when I was back at Northeastern Illinois taking the system
programmers course and the computer center hid the library
containing IEHLIST
and IEHPROGM (moved it out of linklist - I believe this was a VS1
system)
since a few students caused crashes by using those utilities.
I wrote my own IEHLIST which used OBTAIN to go against the pack and
used OPENJ
to display PDS directories. Found IEHLIST (I think it was SYS
$.LINKLIB) but by
that point I didn't need it.
I was probably in error about building its own deb etc.. but (again
this was 30+) years ago I do remember distinctly IEHMOVE and the
contortions it went through to do things. My *VAGUE* memory is that I
was going through fiche about one of the IEH programs at 3AM and
seeing comments about building a DEB in the fiche. I could well be
wrong but I am probably close.
