We use Oracle on Z only to talk to databases on other platforms, so I guess it's a client-only install. The version 10g install required a install process run to an X display. Getting that environment established was the hardest part of the install. The install is written as though the database will be hosted on z, so figuring out just what client parts needed was confusing.
