if you look in the migration manual, it should tell you about using the DIFF
command
to check out your /etc versus the serverpac /etc.

Subject: configuring zos 1.7 pre-ipl
We installed z/os 17 but have not tried to ipl it. There is an issue
with
USS /etc and /var. Did 1.7 install create new hfs for etc and var and
were
there any new data propagated into the hfs's? Is etc and var suppose to
be
empty? I am ready to copy my exiting files to var and etc but I need to
know if the 1.7 versions should have anything new. Thank you.
