Yeah, that was my second inclination. Guess could download
binary to PC and see if Acrobat reader could open it. Or
_www.irfanview.com_ (http://www.irfanview.com)  to  browse.
 
Another thought would be try LPR from PC to host with .pdf file
Something like
lpr test.pdf host zosv1r7 printer vpsp1
