I much agree.  In days of yore, the Usenet etiquette was to reply
to the poster who courteously summarized replies.  As you say this
remains useful here; I've occasionally supplied a Reply-to on
this list for that purpose.

Don't break LISTSERV merely because some subscribers patronize
broken mail services.  Why have Reply-to at all if it's always
set equal to From?  (I know; there's the possibility of Reply-to
mailbombing.  I'm little moved by that argument.)

I subscribe to one other list which never sets Reply-to; I know
on that list to override the "To:" when I followup, even as I
know to do so to Ted's posts on this list.
