True to a degree. There are now articles for non-zSeries systems. NaSPA, IIRC, originally meant 'National System Programmers Association' or something similar. It now stands for 'National System Professional Association' so that it can include UNIX and Windows system adminstrators. Most of whom are not really "programmers" like z/OS sysprogs generally __used__ to be. z/OS sysprogs are now closer to sysadmins than sysprogs also. That's the way that the industry, in general, is going (for good or ill). -- John McKown Senior Systems Programmer HealthMarkets Keeping the Promise of Affordable Coverage Administrative Services Group Information Technology This message (including any attachments) contains confidential information intended for a specific individual and purpose, and its content is protected by law.
