No. Google for COBOL. The refusal to document COBOL messages goes all
the way back to OS/360.
I'm not saying that the Unix documentation people aren't asleep at the
switch, just that the COBOL people didn't get the disease from them.
Maybe the Unix people got it from the COBOL tech writers?
