the meeting was primarily to focus on cluster scaleup for our (ibm) ha/cmp
product (and possible relationship between cluster scaleup and parallel
oracle)

for other triva ... two of the other people mentioned in the same
meeting later showed up in a small client/server startup responsible
for something called the "commerce server". at that time, we were
called in as consultants on something called payment gateway
... because they wanted to process financial transactions on servers

the small client/server startup had this technology called https (or
ssl) and the payment stuff is frequently now referred to as electronic
commerce.
