Hallo To All
I am reposting my question because I noticed that in my former post the
SUBJECT had the word SPAM. I don't know why this is. Below is my question
again.
One of our customers will be conducting a Disaster recovery exercise.
The client will be restoring their volumes using DFDSS (Logical
restore). I am not comfortable with them using a LOGICAL BACKUP/LOGICAL
RESTORE. One main concern is that the catalog entries will be out of sync.
Some of the customer volumes are SMS managed. Would it be right for
me to advise the customer to code the following parms:
NON SMS MANAGED VOLUMES:
RESTORE INDDNAME(TAPE1) -
OUTDDNAME(DISK) -
DATASET(INCLUDE(**) -
EXCLUDE(SYS1.**)) -
CATALOG -
REPLACE
SPHERE
SMS MANAGED VOLUMES:
RESTORE INDDNAME(TAPE1) -
OUTDDNAME(DISK) -
DATASET(INCLUDE(**) -
EXCLUDE(SYS1.**)) -
REPLACE -
SPHERE
Is there anything else I should include?
