The decision to make Message Flood Automation generally available was made about a year ago as a result of a crit-sit at a large non-GDPS customer. As recently as July, it was to be a web deliverable; the decision to make it part of the Consoles component and deliver it as an SPE is therefore quite recent and has not allowed much in the way of change to be made.
We are painfully aware of the shortcomings of the current implementation but judged that it was more important to provide the function quickly than to take our time and polish it. W.
