It has to be related to your GRS settings for the checkpoint datasets as JES just doesn't appear to need a lot of time to do the purge. One other thing that I noticed was that the CPU% spiked up pretty high, so if for some reason you have JES constrained, it might cause things to hang up a bit. Let me know when you have implemented the GRS changes I told you about in my email.
