I did this on the 1.7 build as well - now that the root is *finally* supported. My attitude has been if IBM reckon it ain't ready for the system, it ain't ready. There were plenty of other real issues to keep me occupied. Anyway, there's probably no absolute answer - I didn't use the shipped jobs. As we had been a long-time DFS user, I had most of the RACF infrastructure in place - I just used DFS when I could. This actually prompted my query to the list why STCDATA isn't included when a new STARTED entry (ZFS) is modelled on an existing (DFS). Pretty quick and seamless cutover in the sandpit - the real world will convert in time now 1.7 is fully deployed.
