You set a worthy challenge, but I'm not allowed to use real names unless
I have explicit permission. However, since you asked, I believe one of
the two largest Linux installations is Nomura Securities, and I can say
that because Nomura spoke at LinuxWorld recently.

The firm you name was one of the most understanding and cooperative
during the "Great Chicago Flood" of the early 1990's. I perceive them as
one of the few exceptions to the general "Rule of Nastiness" during
service interruptions. I salute them for their forebearance,
understanding and cooperation with Board of Trade Clearing Corp. during
that particular emergency. And they may very well be one of the few who
have successfully made transition(s) from other systems to Linux.
You're entitled to cite exceptions to almost any rule, but that
particular firm will always have a privileged spot in my memories. The
first caller actually told me to grab a pad and pencil and "look busy"
for a few minutes, just to get a short break from the general chaos that
abounded at that time. That sort of understanding and perception are
rare, to say the least. IMHO, they are NOT the "average customer", in
spite of comments to the contrary.
