Is there any documentation on the compression algorithm used by TRSMAIN? Or how effective it is? I.e. if I have 21 MEDIA2 (3490E) tapes worth of printable data, can I estimate how many compressed tapes that will take? And is there anyway to ftp that to an ASCII based server and uncompress it? Yes - this relates to my previous question about RACF IRRADU00 reformatted records.
