Enlightened by Chris and Pat, I went back to the book 'MVS Sytem Programming'. It's old but it has a very basic and good chapter about VTAM/SNA. I read it one year ago but this time I definitely have a far more better understanding about it.
So my question has been answered and actually I got even more from this topic. It's really a nice feeling. (Chris, I agree with you on the usage of RESTRICTAPPL. When I read it from the manual, I was curious about it: what on earth it is? So I tried to use it just for the sake of curiosity. And after seeing how it works, I know I wont use it: Most of VTAM applications, such as TSO, CICS, NVAS, have their own ways of enabling security. So why bother?)
