Bob, the less real storage you have the more paging you do. Virtual storage has to be backed somewhere. If there isn't enough real then the least used pages will go out to aux. 256meg sounds awfully small to me, but it depends on the size of your installation, so maybe it is enough for your purposes as long as you have enough page packs. Eventually you will spend more and more time paging and that will have a major impact on throughput. Keep an eye on paging rates. Jon Jon L.
