Hi,

File # 482 GDGCOPY Utility

http://www.cbttape.org/ftp/cbt/CBT482.zip

http://www.cbttape.org

This might do the trick.

***FILE 482 is from Eric Bielefeld of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and *
FILE 482
* contains a program called GDGCOPY to copy GDG files, *
FILE 482
* in proper order, from one GDG to another. The reason *
FILE 482
* for putting this program on the CBT Tape was because *
FILE 482
* of a recent discussion thread on IBM-MAIN (circa *
FILE 482
* end of August 2000) about copying GDG datasets in the *
FILE 482
*           proper order.                                         *

Subject: z/OS V1R7

We upgraded to z/OS V1R7. We have a program which retrieves a list of
gdg's and produces an output file which has the gdg's in the proper
sequence for concatenation. The program is now abending with a SOC4. I
do not have the source and I am not sure if this was written in-house or
a share ware code. The eye catcher in the load module says it was
assembled in 1989. I am assuming the program is performing some type of
listcat and reading through the output to find the gdg's. I think IBM
has made some changes with the listcat output and this is causing the
program to abend.

I am sure there is a system parm which makes this program obsolete. I am
not sure what the option is. Does anyone have a program which does this
and could provide the source.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank You
