Phil, Thnaks for pointing that out, I scanned that page, and missed the description, however I was looking at the program description in the application for the specific programs, and it states: "Program Intent The Remote Development Program is intended soley for testing solution provider developed software in an z/OS V1 R8 environment. Remote Development Programs (RDPs) allow selected solution developers the opportunity to test their software in a new environment thus supplementing porting, migration or regression test efforts."
The use of the word "soley" in this seems pretty unequivocal to me. All I can say is that the two descrptions seem to contradict each other, so the truth is probably in the middle. In the description it clearly says: "The Remote Development Program expands the breadth and quality of z/Architecture and S/390 solutions and provides ISVs with a readily available and inexpensive environment in which to develop or test their applications." "develop or test" seems pretty unequivocal to me? And it's called "Remote Development Program", too... ...phsiii ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For IBM-MAIN subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the message: GET IBM-MAIN INFO Search the archives at http://bama.ua.edu/archives/ibm-main.html ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For IBM-MAIN subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the message: GET IBM-MAIN INFO Search the archives at http://bama.ua.edu/archives/ibm-main.html
