The OS is a tool for that IBM uses to produce its real product - which
is business solutions.

CEOs don't want to buy operating systems, or mainframes, or server
farms or compilers.   CEOs want to buy the data processing to make
their own business run more profitably.    And too many times the term
"mainframe" is telling them something different from what we wish.

Sell him the holes, not the drill - and if your drill is the best tool
for the job, use it.
