Well yes, I was a little off-track. I was picturing dialing-in to your mainframe.
The EV-DO cards that people (including myself) have been talking about would work inside your company for ISV demos, assuming cellphones work inside your building. They are like "cellphone modems" for laptops. Charles, Maybe I've missed your (or maybe John's) point. I think John is sayig that it doesn't matter how accessable a ISV's system is if access to demos on those systems is blocked at the potential customer's site. We are have that situation at my shop. Non-corporate PCs are not allowed on our LAN, and internet connections to/from corporate PCs on the LAN are blocked for most ports. (Yes, paranoia is a prereq for employment here.) Vendors trying to give demos here have real problems. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For IBM-MAIN subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the message: GET IBM-MAIN INFO Search the archives at http://bama.ua.edu/archives/ibm-main.html
