I believe the "IBM SDK for z/OS, Java 2 Technology Edition" includes a jar command which handles zip files, and (though I've not tried it) this might tickle your zAAP when you run it. Get to a UNIX System Services command prompt (either via OMVS or a direct network connection), then try this (assuming you've uploaded a zip file in binary mode):
jar tvf /mypath/myzipfile.zip where mypath and myzipfile are the correct names, of course. You might need the full path to the jar command if you don't have the PATH set up for Java. That jar command should simply produce a list of files/directories contained inside the zip file. And, when you run it, check to see if your zAAP handles some of the processing. For a reference describing the jar command options and syntax, this should work well enough: http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.5.0/docs/tooldocs/solaris/jar.html The jar command can create and extract zip files. (jar files are in zip format.) - - - - - Timothy Sipples IBM Consulting Enterprise Software Architect Specializing in Software Architectures Related to System z Based in Tokyo, Serving IBM Japan and IBM Asia-Pacific E-Mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For IBM-MAIN subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the message: GET IBM-MAIN INFO Search the archives at http://bama.ua.edu/archives/ibm-main.html
